The Helix Bridge crossing Marina Bay in Singapore. This neighborhood is full of light shows at night. The banks are lined by shopping malls, restaurants and a museum. Anyone traveling to Singapore should go to Marina Bay at night.
Another view of The Helix Bridge along Marina Bay. Being inside the bridge is like being inside a futuristic vortex. It's probably the coolest bridge I've crossed. I wanted the viewer to get the feeling of being inside and outside the bridge at the same time.
Coming from New York, I never get tired of seeing palm trees. I will take a palm tree over a skyscraper any day. Although this is Singapore, I wanted to give this image a vintage Hollywood feel to it.
In the middle of this modernized, technologically minded and architecturally savvy land, it's always nice to see nature incorporated. I was surprised to find these lilly pads here. The contrast of the machine versus nature is something I am always willing to play with.
I am fascinated by structure, lines, nature, cities and reflections. One would most likely see this white structure and the lily pads as two separate entities. But I wanted to fuse them together as one entity.
A view of the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay, Singapore. The building reminds me of a lotus flower. The people of Singapore have been very creative and savvy with their architectural designs. It was a joy to photograph all these treasures.
I have always loved Vespas and still do. Whenever I pass by one, I feel the need to photograph it. Sometimes I just stop and stare thinking how I will have my own one day. I love how classic, clean and shiny this one in particular looks.
I was enjoying a nice kebab on Arab street, when this scene presented itself to me. I too often eat and read alone. Some people think it's lonely. I find it to be relaxing, liberating and very zen-like. I wanted to capture that moment someone has when in a moment like this.
Eye of the Tiger
Taken at the Singapore Zoo. Tiger's are one of my favorite animals, and also my Chinese Zodiac creature. But I had never seen a white Siberian Tiger before, so this was a pretty amazing experience.
The stripes seem to be laid out in a perfectly symmetrical pattern. Such a stunning creature. Nature never ceases to amaze me.
