It is about a three hour motorbike ride from Kuta to Singaraja. On the way there's a nook off the side of a windy, mountainous road, where monkeys gather. Locals are there selling bananas and food to feed the monkeys. They can be caught playing, swinging and hanging out. I got this shot along the journey.
Between Kuta and Singaraja is a hamlet called Bedugul. It is located in the mountains where the climate is cool and rainy most of the time. Strawberry farms are there along with other attractions. This monkey had an owner that kept him chained up to attract tourists and try to make some money. Not an uncommon occurrence in Indonesia, sadly. The look this guy shot me while taking this photo is unreal.
Jalan Jalan is a way to call traveling in Indonesian. My friends and I, traveled by Vespa and motorbikes from Bali to Paijo's home in Jember. We traveled for about two weeks straight and rode for about half of that time. It was definitely an adventure I remember fondly.
