Babi Guling, meaning roasted pork, is a local delicacy. The whole pig is slowly roasted on a spit, over a flame for hours on end. The result is magical. A hard crystalized layer of skin is on the outside, with tender and moist meat inside. It is typically served with white rice, greens, sausage and soup.
The fish market in Jimbaran, Bali is huge, providing almost any kind of seafood or fish you can imagine. Enormous tuna's, bass, snapper, lobsters, calamari, shark, clams, shrimp, crabs and more. The market is located on the sand, fisherman go out between 7 A.M. and 7 P.M. everyday. Restaurants and hotels are supplied heavily from this market. Fish can be bought to take home or can be grilled by nearby stands along the water.
