I wouldn't want to find this guy in my house, but I love seeing spiders design and execute their webs. Nature constantly fascinates me, How each living organism knows exactly what to do for survival. The simplicity is beautiful.
It is about a three hour motorbike ride from Kuta to Singaraja. On the way there's a nook off the side of a windy, mountainous road, where monkeys gather. Locals are there selling bananas and food to feed the monkeys. They can be caught playing, swinging and hanging out. I got this shot along the journey.
Between Kuta and Singaraja is a hamlet called Bedugul. It is located in the mountains where the climate is cool and rainy most of the time. Strawberry farms are there along with other attractions. This monkey had an owner that kept him chained up to attract tourists and try to make some money. Not an uncommon occurrence in Indonesia, sadly. The look this guy shot me while taking this photo is unreal.
